Read on to learn how to import and edit your files.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Earlier this year, Autodesk again disrupted the CAD industry by closing the gap&nbsp;in the electromechanical&nbsp;workflow&nbsp;for the design of smart consumer products. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/overview\">Autodesk Fusion 360<\/a> is the leader in cloud-based CAD mechanical and CAM design needs. With the addition of electronics design capabilities, y<\/span>ou can now create <span data-contrast=\"auto\">intelligent products&nbsp;using one collaborative platform.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In addition to adding electronic design needs,\u00a0we<\/span>&#8216;ve <span data-contrast=\"auto\">made it\u00a0100%\u00a0compatible with\u00a0designs and libraries made with EAGLE.<\/span> As a result, a<span data-contrast=\"auto\">ll\u00a0of your current EAGLE designs and designs that you download online are compatible with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/autodesk-fusion-360-vs-autodesk-eagle\/\">Fusion\u00a0360<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">EAGLE to Fusion 360, Made Easy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Today, you&#8217;ll learn how to load your design and libraries made with EAGLE into&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/overview\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Fusion 360<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.&nbsp;&nbsp;To begin, If you haven&#8217;t already, download a Fusion 360 free trial <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/overview\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">here<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Next, download and install Fusion 360.<\/span> Once the install is complete, you&#8217;ll begin in the Design workspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Click on the File\u00a0pull-down\u00a0menu and select the option New Electronic Design.\u00a0The electronic document will control the link between your schematic and your circuit board. Historically, EAGLE users would create a new design. As long as the schematic\u00a0and\u00a0board\u00a0were\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0same\u00a0folder, forward and back annotation was\u00a0automatically checked.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"246\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/NewElectronicDocument.png?resize=246%2C300&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"fusion-360-electronics-design\" class=\"wp-image-13504\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/NewElectronicDocument.png?resize=246%2C300&amp;ssl=1 246w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.autodesk.com\/products\/fusion-360\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/NewElectronicDocument.png?w=312&amp;ssl=1 312w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 246px) 100vw, 246px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Create &amp; Edit Your Electronics Designs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">With Fusion 360,&nbsp;the&nbsp;electronic document now monitors your schematic and circuit board. A<\/span>s a result, the s<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">chematic can be used in different projects with alternative PCB layouts. This means all your schematics will remain linked.&nbsp;<\/span>Fr<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">om the electronic document, you&#8217;ll notice&nbsp;four&nbsp;icons at the top left corner of the editor.&nbsp;These options allow you to either begin a new design or load&nbsp;the&nbsp;existing design.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For our&nbsp;example, we&#8217;ll be using the icon&nbsp;about&nbsp;loading existing designs.&nbsp;To start, click on the link to&nbsp;the&nbsp;schematic&nbsp;symbol icon<span data-contrast=\"auto\">;&nbsp;from the <strong>Reference to<\/strong> the dialog box. Here you can navigate&nbsp;your existing Fusion 360 project folders&nbsp;to find&nbsp;an electronic design. This&nbsp;action&nbsp;will cascade to all opened electronic editors.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Loading your PCB<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">Now it\u2019s time to load the associated PCB.
